World Cup 2026 host cities

World Cup 2026 will be hosted across 16 cities spread across three countries β€” the USA, Canada, and Mexico. It is the first World Cup to be co-hosted by three nations, and the most geographically spread in the tournament's history.

Key venues to know

MetLife Stadium, New York/New Jersey

Hosting the Final on 19 July 2026. One of the largest NFL stadiums in the USA, capacity approximately 82,500. The New York market is the largest media market in North America.

Estadio Azteca, Mexico City

A historic venue β€” the Azteca has hosted two previous World Cup finals (1970 and 1986) and is one of the most famous stadiums in the world. Capacity approximately 87,000.

AT&T Stadium, Dallas

One of the largest stadiums in the tournament. Dallas is a major football (NFL) market and will host a high number of group stage fixtures.

Time zones across the host cities

The 16 cities span four North American time zones. For UK viewers, this means kick-off times ranging from early afternoon to the early hours of the morning, depending on which city is hosting. East Coast (New York, Miami, Boston, Atlanta) fixtures will be the most accessible for UK viewers.
