Live leaderboard

Your group, ranked,
updated automatically — every match.

Group tables, knockout bracket, points awarded for goals, wins, clean sheets and stage progression. You don't touch a thing.

  • Automatic scoring — pulled from official results within minutes of the final whistle.
  • Group + knockout views — proper tables with P W D L GD Pts, plus the bracket as it unfolds.
  • Form arrows — see who's climbing, who's tanking, who got Belgium.
  • Mobile-perfect — your group checks it on the bus, in the kitchen, between meetings.

Payments

Stop chasing Dave
for his fiver.

You're the organiser, not the bailiff. playdrawr tracks who's paid, sends gentle nudges, and keeps the running pot total in everyone's face.

  • Paid / unpaid status — visible to the whole group, so peer pressure does the work.
  • Auto-nudges — polite reminder emails on day 3 and day 7. We chase, you don't.
  • Pay how you like — cash, bank transfer, Monzo, the kitty at the bar. We don't touch it.
  • Pot total, live — pinned to the TV, the dashboard, and everyone's phone.

Set ours up in five minutes flat. Way easier than last time. Already had three people slagging me off for giving them Saudi Arabia, which feels right.

I've run the pub sweepstake on a scrap of paper for 14 years. The lads gave me grief for switching but the TV mode looks proper. Even Mike paid early.

Honestly the payment tracker is the bit. Last World Cup I was £35 down because three people 'forgot'. This time the spreadsheet shames them.

FAQ

Sensible questions, sensible answers.

Is it actually free?+
Yes. Free for groups up to 48 players. No credit card. No "free for 14 days then…". No upsell. If your group is bigger than 48, there's a one-off paid tier — but most office and pub sweepstakes fit comfortably.
Do you handle the money?+
No, and that's the point. playdrawr doesn't process payments or hold funds. Your group pays however they want — cash in the pub, bank transfer, Monzo, the office kitty. We just track who's paid so you don't have to.
How does the random draw work?+
All 48 World Cup teams are shuffled using a cryptographically fair algorithm and assigned to participants the moment you hit "draw". You can pin it to a TV for the reveal, share a short replay link to the group chat, or rerun if someone joined late.
Do my colleagues need to sign up?+
Only the organiser creates an account. Everyone else joins via a single link — no email, no password, no app to download. They open the link on their phone and they're in.
What if someone joins after the draw?+
You can rerun the draw, or add late joiners to a reserve pool that gets teams from anyone who drops out. Most groups just open joining a few days before kickoff.
What scoring system do you use?+
Standard FIFA-style: points for wins, draws, group qualification, knockout progression, and the final. You can also turn on bonus points for goals scored and clean sheets if your group fancies it.
Is this gambling?+
No. playdrawr is entertainment software. We run the draw and the leaderboard. Whether your group puts in £1 or £0 or biscuits is entirely your call — and the money never touches us.
Built by who?+
A small UK team who got fed up with running their own office sweepstake on a Google Sheet. Questions go to hello@playdrawr.co.uk and a human replies, usually within a few hours.
